27th March 2018 – CARDIFF, U.K. – Lextox, a specialist drug, alcohol and DNA testing laboratory, today announced it is working with family law professionals to increase their understanding and knowledge of hair testing.
The announcement follows the Honourable Mr Justice Peter Jackson inviting UK hair drug testing providers to intervene in a child custody case* where the court assessed the science of hair drug testing and its importance in family law.
The judgment reinforced the importance of hair testing in family law and child casework. It also highlighted the need for increased awareness, for all participants in the system, on hair testing.
In response, Lextox, who gave extensive evidence in the intervention hearing, is engaging with barrister’s chambers, solicitors and the judiciary to deliver complimentary training.

The seminars on ‘Determining Parental Substance Use’ cover the benefits and limitations of hair drug testing and its use in family law, best practice in hair alcohol testing and its appropriateness for court, along with reporting of results.
Seminars are delivered at the barrister’s chambers or client’s offices and can be used as part of CPD learning activities.
