When the United Kingdom entered lockdown on 23rd March, Lextox took the difficult decision to temporarily suspend collection and testing services until we were in a position to provide our services safely.
Since our services restarted in April, Lextox has been working hard to meet client and family court requirements, while keeping staff, clients and donors safe. In this time the Lextox team has:
- Sent over 6,200 drug and alcohol and DNA testing quotations
- Booked over 1,300 sample collections
- Attended 1,088 sample collections appointments
- Sent over 900 Expert Reports
As schools re-open and more of the UK returns to work, we wanted to share details of what we have implemented to continue to provide the level of service our clients have come to expect – safely.
Sample Collectors
We are continuing to arrange and attend sample collection appointments within our usual target of 48 hours’ notice.
At the time of booking sample collection appointments, we are asking our clients a series of questions on the health of donors to ensure our team, clients and any witnesses are not exposed to COVID-19 and to reduce the further spread of the virus.
Our sample collection team are fully equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which meets government guidelines for the type of collections and work we undertake.
In the event that any of our Sample Collection team are exposed to or display symptoms of COVID-19, as key workers, they are accessing government testing schemes to manage their health and ensure the safety of others.
Laboratory Analysis and Expert Reports
Lextox has taken steps to reduce the number of staff in our offices and laboratories and marked out designated working spaces to meet the 2 metre social distancing criteria, in line with government guidelines.
While this has reduced the number of staff able to work together at any one time, our Laboratory and Expert Reporting teams remain fully operational.
Client Support
Our dedicated and attentive Client Managers and Client Support team continue to support clients both from home and in our offices, again adhering to government guidelines.
To instruct us for testing, you can email us via [email protected] or click here to access our online quotation forms.
If you have any questions, or would like to book a sample collection appointment, please contact us using one of the methods above.
