Current Vacancies

IT Manager – Drug & Alcohol (Abergavenny based)
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join the SYNLAB Drug and Alcohol business, and provide a fully functioning IT infrastructure and suite of network software applications whilst supporting the business.

You will manage the local network, switches, servers, tele-comms and communications and work closely with the SYNLAB UK & Ireland IT helpdesk. You will also provide an IT helpdesk to circa 250 users based in Abergavenny, Cardiff and all field based users, i.e. Collections Technicians, within agreed SLA.

The successful candidate will manage the Drug & Alcohol IT budget - both opex and capex - and have line management responsibility for 2 permanent member of the IT team. You will also chair and manage the IT Change Board and act as the local data protection officer, under GDPR.

You will become an integral part of the leading drug and alcohol testing company in the UK.

Ad-hoc Collector (Lancashire)
We are seeking experienced, professional phlebotomists for ad hoc, self employed positions within our sample collections team throughout Lancashire.

Candidates must be professionally qualified phlebotomists, have recent experience in various venepuncture techniques (vacutainer, butterfly etc) and be able to collect samples in non-clinical settings.

Experience in collecting hair samples and DNA samples would be an advantage, however, in house training will be provided for all aspects of the role involving sample collections.

Candidates must have excellent inter personal skills, be superb communicators both written and verbally. They will have a real focus on service and quality with an eye for detail and accuracy.

The role entails attending pre-booked appointments at various locations so candidates must have a full driving license and be prepared to travel in and around specific territories within the UK based on your location. Appointments will generally be within a 2 hour radius of your home address by car. A minimum of 2 years' phlebotomy experience is required.

Successful candidates will become an integral part of the leading drug and alcohol testing company in the UK.

Job Type: Ad hoc / Casual
Ad-hoc SCRAM (Basingstoke)
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual for an Ad-hoc position within our SCRAM team. This role will entail attending SCRAM appointments in the Basingstoke area for the fitting, maintenance and removal of SCRAM kits together with processing the receipt and return of SCRAM inventory kits.

The ideal candidate must have excellent inter-personal skills to liaise with both clients/participants and be excellent communicators, both written and verbally. They will have a real focus on service and quality with an eye for detail and accuracy.

The successful candidate will also need to be able to maintain and develop relationships with the SCRAM Coordination team and third party providers where appropriate. A technical background would be an advantage, however, in-house training will be provided for all aspects of SCRAM fitting and removal.

The role entails attending pre-booked appointments at various locations so candidates must have a full driving license and be prepared to travel in and around London.

Phlebotomist (North Wales)
