Laboratory

Laboratory Analyst
We are seeking Laboratory Analysts for full time, salaried positions within our onsite laboratory based at our Cardiff Head Office.

Candidates must be educated to degree level in a relevant specialism.

Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, be superb communicators both written and verbally. They will have a real focus on service and quality with an eye for detail and accuracy.

The role entails completing general laboratory duties without supervision, and to the required standard, following SOP and working to ISO17025 guidelines. You will also be responsible for competently sectioning all types of hair samples arriving at the laboratory and preparing sample batches ready for extraction and for analysis. Experience of working within a laboratory would be advantageous but full training will be provided.

Phlebotomist (North Wales)
Lextox is a UK based forensic toxicology laboratory with a team of experts who have considerable knowledge and experience of analysing biological samples. By analysing hair samples we can provide an historic profile of drug use over a period of months, and help determine chronic excessive alcohol consumption, all within 5 working days of receiving the sample into our UK laboratory. Based in Cardiff, our forensic toxicology laboratory provides a fast, efficient and reliable drug and alcohol testing service.

Our mission is to provide solicitors and local authorities involved in family law with the information that is needed to help make informed decisions.

Requirements:-

We are seeking experienced, professional phlebotomists for full time, salaried positions within our sample collections team.

Candidates must be professionally qualified phlebotomists, have recent experience in various venepuncture techniques (vacutainer, butterfly etc) and be able to collect samples in non-clinical settings.

Experience in collecting hair samples and DNA samples would be an advantage, however, in house training will be provided for all aspects of the role involving sample collections.

Candidates must have excellent inter personal skills, be superb communicators both written and verbally. They will have a real focus on service and quality with an eye for detail and accuracy.

The role entails attending pre booked appointments at various locations so candidates must have a full driving license and be prepared to travel in and around North Wales. A company car will be provided. Minimum of 2 years' phlebotomy experience is required.

Ad-hoc SCRAM (Basingstoke)
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual for an Ad-hoc position within our SCRAM team. This role will entail attending SCRAM appointments in the Basingstoke area for the fitting, maintenance and removal of SCRAM kits together with processing the receipt and return of SCRAM inventory kits.

The ideal candidate must have excellent inter-personal skills to liaise with both clients/participants and be excellent communicators, both written and verbally. They will have a real focus on service and quality with an eye for detail and accuracy.

The successful candidate will also need to be able to maintain and develop relationships with the SCRAM Coordination team and third party providers where appropriate. A technical background would be an advantage, however, in-house training will be provided for all aspects of SCRAM fitting and removal.

The role entails attending pre-booked appointments at various locations so candidates must have a full driving license and be prepared to travel in and around London.

Client Support

Client Support
We are currently seeking a Client Support Administrator for a full time, salaried positions based at our Cardiff Head Office.
Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and be superb communicators both written and verbally. Within Lextox, there is a real focus on service and quality with an eye for detail and accuracy.
As part of the role, your main responsibility will be to provide timely, accurate administrative support to the sales team.

Responsibilities:

• Receive and action incoming customer enquiries and take details needed to prepare quotations
• Provide general advice to clients on how best to meet their testing requirements whilst referring technical questions to the Client Services Manager or laboratory
• Prepare quotations for clients promptly from information provided
• Receive and action acceptance of quotes from customers
• File/scan documents and client communications promptly on CRM system
• Ensure the CRM workflow is accurate and up to date
• Liaise with customers to arrange sample collection appointments after quote is accepted
• Check collector availability, prepare and send sample collection details and ensure collector confirms the appointment and it is entered on the collection calendar
• File blood/urine/DNA/steroid results or other subcontracted analysis results against CRM record and paper file
• Dispatch sample collection packs to GPs and collectors
• Record kit movements in and out on the kit log
• Inform customers of sample receipt including explaining flawed submissions
• Maintain adequate stocks of sample collection kit consumables
• Prepare sample collection kits
• Monitor experts and info mailboxes and action as appropriate
• Actively work towards improving quality and customer service, at all times for example by contributing suggestions for improvement.
• Ensure that non-conformities and complaints are recorded in a timely manner.
• Respect the confidentiality of the information obtained in the course of analysing samples within the lab, and refrain from disclosing such information without written consent, except where disclosure is required by law or by a court order.
