17 June 2020 – Lextox Drug and Alcohol Testing, a member of SYNLAB UK and Ireland, today announced their reaccreditation to ISO 17025 by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) for the 9th consecutive year.
UKAS is the only national accreditation body which has been recognised by the government to assess, against internationally agreed standards, organisations that provide certification, testing, inspection and calibration services.
In order to maintain the accreditation, Lextox was subject to a full reassessment by UKAS accessors who carried out an in-depth evaluation of the whole quality management system.
This 9th successful assessment means that Lextox is accredited to test for a wide range of drugs and the alcohol markers, EtG and EtPa, in hair and was, at the time, the first independently owned UK laboratory to attain ISO 17025 UKAS accreditation for hair alcohol testing. The full list of substances that Lextox can detect in hair can be found here.
Liam Feasey, Client Services Manager and Deputy Quality Manager at Lextox, commented “This successful reaccreditation is testament to the hard work and dedication of the entire team. It also highlights our commitment to quality and the competency of our laboratory in delivering reliable results.”
