At Lextox we are excited to announce that the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) have confirmed our compliance to the Lab 51 quality standard. We are proud to be one of the first hair testing laboratories to have confirmation of Lab 51 compliance.
Lab 51 is a UKAS extension of ISO 17025 (the quality standard used to assess testing laboratories competence) that provides a technical framework to which laboratories performing analysis of toxicology samples should conform to.
Lextox has maintained its ISO 17025 accreditation, awarded by UKAS, for 10 consecutive years. The Lab 51 technical assessment involved an in-depth evaluation of the procedures within our Laboratory and Reporting Scientists teams. Compliance to Lab 51 further demonstrates our laboratory’s technical competence to undertake the analysis and provide accurate and reliable results.

Lextox’s Accreditation
Lextox is accredited to test for a wide range of drugs in hair and was, at the time, the first independent UK owned laboratory to attain ISO 17025 UKAS accreditation (No. 7516) for hair alcohol testing. Lextox works to right-first-time quality assurance procedures to ensure the reliability of analysis results; delivering confidence in our service as a testing laboratory.
